SpellMan is an enhancement for the Newton 2.1 that spell checks notes and documents. It uses the internal Newton Works spell checker, but gives it more flexibility. SpellMan can be used anywhere the user can write, unlike the Newton Works spell checker that can only be used on Works documents. SpellMan places a button at the bottom of a note or document, so that it is accessible with just one tap.

SpellMan means that notes, checklists, outlines and messages can all be checked for spelling errors. "Now I can spell check my eMail before I send it", said Gary Greco, president of PMI. SpellMan makes spelling errors on the NotePad a thing of the past.
